Update #5005

A few months ago I set myself the challenge of writing 500 words, 5 days a week (for 2 months) and yesterday I completed this – that’s a whopping 20,000 words, maybe more.

From the beginning I had no real plan of how I was going to do this (content wise); all I knew was that I was going to follow a blog format and that I wanted to use this as a platform to get back into the habit of writing. Well, it certainly did that! Also, I’d planned to share all my ramblings publicly which I did as well.

Then to the how, well it was a free-writing extravaganza (with zero editing). So, each day I had no real idea of what was going to come out, yet for me this kept the process authentic and exciting. For you though, if you read them, you were subject to a whole bunch of dribble and bullshit lol. Actually, the whole thing turned out to be ‘blog counselling’ for me. And gees I got a lot out of it.

Hopefully you got something out of it too, in fact, if you have any feedback, thoughts or ideas about the process I would absolutely love to hear them. Please, I’d love to know how or where I could improve.

Also, if you missed any episodes (and for some weird-ass reason want to read them, or re-read them) every single one of them is on my website www.markmr.com

And where to now? Hmm… I guess I’ll start working on my books (which is why I wanted to get back into the habit of writing). I just feel that they are very important to complete – for both me personally and potentially as a tool that may help others. And, as I really have enjoyed this blogging process (and it really has helped with the mess in my head), so from time to time I might bust out some more blogs. I’ll see how I go.

But regardless of what happens in the future, thanks for listening in the past. Your ears are very much appreciated. And hopefully you know and understand me a little bit more now too.

Thanks for everything.
