Friends and their courses

“You can completely change your life in twelve weeks”… this is something I heard in this course thing I’m doing (I’ll explain more about this in a sec), still, you know these words kinda blew me away. It further cemented the fact that this is exactly what I’m trying to do.

Okay… fast forward, rewind, or something like that. But yeah, I’m feeling very lucky about two online short courses that I’m currently involved with, you see (with both) a couple of good friends are running them. And with both, they’re sorta like test groups, or sorta like brand new concepts and the first time they’ve ever been run.

One is a writer’s group (I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this before), which this is more of a discussion group and a platform whereby people can share their writing. Oh, I love it so much. Then this second course (and this is what I want to talk about here), this is a business coaching thing.

As they say, “when the student is ready the teacher appears,” haha. Nah but, I really fell into this by accident and I am stoked to be a part of it. And even though I’m currently in a bit of a personal development phase (rather than being specifically focused on business), so what I’m finding myself doing is applying the content to me and my more personal projects. But who knows, this might change?

Still, what’s making the biggest impact thus far, I’m loving being around the people in this initial group. I think there’s like eleven of us, and I know of some of the guys through the life coaching school, and each are already very successful in their own right. Like some of the discussion yesterday was around how one of the blokes was just about to launch his own mastermind program (as an addition to his already million dollar business). So, as you can see, I’m way out of my depth here, but I’m also loving being the dumbest person in the room. This is exactly how we grow.

Then, there’s this other dynamic that I’m enjoying too, as most of this group is made up of blokes, oh man you can definitely smell the testosterone in the air. Specifically the gym junkie kind (as I’m not 100 per cent certain but I do believe one of the two dudes running the course was once or still is a competitive bodybuilder). It’s weird and I guess this is why I say I’m enjoying it, I’m not typically exposed to health fanatics, or at least not exercise driven and ripped folks anyway. Yup, out of my depth again.

Nevertheless, to now focus on the guts of this course, it really does have the bones of a very professional outfit (members website with video based modules, worksheets, there’s even a weekly mentoring group call). Like, in a few years I could really see this gaining some traction and being very successful (and making a lot of money). This is why I say I’m feeling so lucky to be experiencing this from the ground floor. In fact, I’m loving how it’s not so polished yet and still a little rough around the edges, it just feels authentic and real, which is also making it feel more worthwhile. Or, what I’m finding, because of this I’ve been a bit more receptive to the content.

Anyhow, I should probably make mention of the two blokes running the course – one is my mate from the life coaching school (who is now pretty high up there) and the other guy is this gym dude (who I think owns a gym or something, even has on some tele thing). I dunno, I’m not all that focused on other people’s resumes, but what I do know for sure, both these guys are incredibly knowledgeable in the business coaching space. Like, even though this course is new, this is definitely not a first time rodeo for either of these guys. There’s depth of knowledge here and you can really feel it Very cool, and like I said, J truly am feeling lucky to be involved with this.

Um, so, um, yeah… this is something that I’ve been up to. World domination coming soon, haha 🙂
